Our client is looking to appoint an Materials Scientist Consultant with expertise within Construction Materials, especially concrete technology.

Headquartered in the Midlands, with laboratories and offices around the world, the company employs a team of researchers and product developers who are involved in materials testing, research and development, process engineering and failure testings.

The company is an independant global expert in materials testing and analysis and consultancy.


The companies bespoke consultancy service delivers innovative solutions increasing our clients profitability across a range of industries, including medical devices, polymer and construction industries.

Construction and construction materials are one the the companies key areas of expertise, offering their customers problem solving in the design and testing of materials and structures, selection of materials and materials manufacture.

We are interested in hearing from candidates to join our Building Technology team developing solutions for their multinational clients, performing project work, consultancy and testing, in both in our client's laboratories and on customers sites.


The candidate that is appointed will be an acknowledged expert in the field of construction materials, especially in concrete technology, but also is commerically aware. In addition to providing technical advice and consultancy, business development is an important feature of the role.

The successful candidate will work closely with our clients established Sales and Marketing team to build long-term business partnerships with new clients within the construction and construction materials industries. This role will involve frequent international travel.

It is essential that candidates hold a degree in Material Sciences or similar, with significant experience working with construction materials. The successful candidate will be commercially aware as it is the candidate is expected to improve the departments profitability through technical problem-solving.
