QA Manager

An excellent opportunity is available for a Food industry QA Manager. Reporting to the Technical Manager you will help lead a small QA team and help to drive quality performance and food safety standards across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
-Promoting consistent compliance within the site of company quality policy and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance to food safety, reviewing the site against its HACCP and BRC procedures.
- Heavily involved with day to day factory floor operations, building strong relationships with all departments across the site.
- Liaising with customer divisions on all product quality issues and implementation of the necessary agreed quality improvement plans.
- Microbiological testing of ingredients, products and the interpretation of results and investigations.
- Assisting to develop and manage the site QMS System. 
- Champion issues impacting on the safety, quality or legality of product within the site, discussing such issues with Operations Team Managers and site operators.
- Maintaining customer service by ensuring customer complaints are actioned quickly in line with the customer complaint procedure.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience of leadership
- Results focus
- High level of numerical and presentation skills
- Proficient in IT (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook)
- Experience working in fast paced production environment
- Food industry experience essential
- Qualifications – Advanced HACCP, CIEH Level 3.
- Experience of carrying out BRC Auditing
- Ideally educated to degree levell
