A fantastic opportunity is available for a chemistry (or related) food technologist to act as a Technical support and services specialist for an international food ingredients organisation. Covering a UK territory you will initially be based in the South or Midlands. The role is to use your technical knowledge and experience of chemistry related to the food ingredients sector to support customers and clients in solving their technical queries. You will work closely with the sales team to develop and maintain business relationships and act as the technical expert for providing targeted solutions.
Part of the role will also involve visiting customers and supporting the sales team with new and exciting food product, so a creative person who is passionate about food and the way it looks would be able to flourish in this role
Ideally, you will have a background in chemistry (or related) and exposure to the overall ingredients which contribute to the flavours or fragrances of food and beverage products. Exposure and experience of essential oils or esters would also be of interest.
This is an excellent opportunity which enables technical people to move away from a laboratory environment into a more commercial role where you will have daily contact with suppliers, contract manufactures and new customers and clients.
