Embedded software design engineer / Electronics Engineer
On behalf of an exciting technology company, CY Partners are looking for an enthusiastic Embedded Software Design / Electronics Engineer to become an integral part of an excellent Research and Development team. The role will require the individual to write and test complex embedded code for instrumentation for use within the global oil and gas industry.

As an enthusiastic Embedded Software Design Engineer / Electronics Engineer with a passion for delighting customers, your duties will involve:
Essential Responsibilities
• Develop and engineer embedded software solutions for complex instrumentation.
• Assist with analogue and digital electronics design.
• Ensure the design and development of products that satisfy customers’ technical requirements and meet both time-scale and budgetary constraints.
• Accountability for quality, safety and fitness for purpose.
• Produce high quality product specifications and documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Degree or equivalent Electronics Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in embedded C software.
• Demonstrable experience of embedded processors (eg AVR)
• Knowledge of serial interfaces and protocols (e.g. RS485, Modbus, HART, Fieldbus).
• Ability to work in a global, fast moving team.
• Enthusiasm for leading-edge technology.
• Hardware knowledge and design principles extremely advantageous
• Knowledge of SIL (IEC61508) software advantageous
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and develop working relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and approval bodies.
You will be a truly excellent engineer, able to demonstrate an understanding of complex technical products and design innovative solutions to solve challenging technical problems. The position would be ideally suited to an individual with industrial experience or a graduate of outstanding calibre.
You will be hands on with a passion for learning and motivated to drive the product to customer delivery.
