Based in the North East of England, an excellent opportunity has become available within a world leading Biopharmaceutical organisation.
Being cross functional, this is an exciting opportunity which offers diversity and new challenges. The company carries out manufacture of biopharmaceuticals for use in phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials. This requires a high level of operational knowledge for successful process implementation on plant.
The facility itself consists of multiple streams of fermentation and downstream processing, together with supporting services and clean room infrastructure. It is multi-purpose and operates to GMP standards that may include involvement in audits from the MHRA, FDA and customers.
The job holder must resolve conflicting demands and deal effectively with people from other functions and external companies (both contractors and customers). Therefore, excellent interpersonal, self-management and decision making skills are needed. The work pattern involves day and flexible working dependent upon the needs of the process.
As a scientist coming from a life sciences background, you will be responsible for with the technology transfer between R&D and the manufacturing process of biopharmaceutical products.
