Graduate Physicist - Radiation Protection Advisor
CY Partners are currently looking to recruit a candidate with a degree level background in Physics who has an interest in becoming a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) on behalf of a Teesside based Technology company.
RPA training usually takes between 5 and 7 years and upon completion of this course they will increase the salary significantly.
As your training progresses, you will assist in providing day-to-day radiation protection support both in the UK and overseas, undertaking radiation protection audits and becoming able to effectively communicate audit findings to the relevant parties.
As you develop you will assist with the provision of support in the preparation of local rules and risk assessments as well as providing radiation protection training in the UK and overseas. Whilst you undertake a development programme to gain RPA 2000 certification you will also build up a portfolio that will eventually result in you being appointed as a Radioactive Waste Adviser.
To apply for this position, you must be willing to work towards RPA 2000 certification and eventually Radioactive Waste Adviser accreditation so a qualification in physics or a similar scientific subject would be advantageous.
This position requires a high level of personal interaction; therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
You will need to be self-motivated, well organised and be prepared to travel overseas (offshore and on shore) as and when required.
