CY Partners are celebrating 10 years of business this month – and talking to directors Daniel Younger and Probier Chatterjee, it’s an exciting time for the Scientific Recruitment Specialists.

Where have ten years gone! As an expanding scientific recruitment company based in the North East, we are incredibly proud to be celebrating this amazing milestone. We have never really been a business to shout about our achievements, but a tenth birthday seems as good of a reason as any to share some of our accomplishments and progress with you.

Since the business was founded in 2008, CY Partners has really gone from strength to strength. We have placed thousands of candidates into temporary, contract and permanent roles in all areas of the scientific and engineering sector and can now boast a client base that spans across the whole of the UK. To keep up with demand, in ten years both our office and our team have expanded tenfold. We have even had our own claim to fame with numerous articles in the local press.

But whilst these ten years have seen a lot of change, our management, Daniel Younger and Probier Chatterjee (although perhaps with a few more greys) have stayed the same. Together, Younger and Chatterjee have over 35 years of experience in the Scientific Recruitment Industry which have really fuelled the success that is the CY Partners brand.

Speaking to the people that know CY Partners best:

Dan and Probier, for the ninth birthday of CY Partners you doubled your office space – what are you doing to celebrate your tenth birthday?

“Well ten years is certainly a milestone we’re very proud of. This year we have won some exciting new accounts within the scientific contractor market which have enabled us to set the foundations to quadruple our temporary workforce.”

“To reflect and advertise this growth, we thought it was about time we updated our website – which is coming very shortly!”

Ten Years is a long time – what do you personally celebrate as the biggest achievement of CY Partners?

“I really can’t think of just one! We enjoy doing our job well every day and creating innovative solutions to the many challenges that the recruitment industry brings.”

“In saying that, we are also very proud that our staff are happy. We have a diverse team that love to share in each other’s successes. It is this environment which makes CY Partners such a great place to work.”

“As companies grow, too often we see their original identity becoming lost. I (Probier) feel it is such an achievement that we have maintained the essence of what we believe in; which remains to keep the people that we work with at the heart of everything that we do.”

 “And so we want to take the time to really say a massive thankyou to our CY Partners family. Both the old faces and the new, your passion, energy, loyalty, dedication and enthusiasm when it comes to helping every single candidate is why our service is continually praised as first-class. It has been a fantastic ten years and we really could never have achieved this success without you, so a massive thankyou to each and every one of you!”

“But we also couldn’t have reached this milestone without all of our amazing candidates and clients. From big businesses who use us on a regular basis, to anyone that has spoken highly of us over the years, every kind word, phone call and email have really helped us to get to where we are today. But the best is still to come, and we are very much looking forward to working with you all in the future.”

What are your hopes for the next ten years?

“The best part of being a wholly independent and self-financing company is that we have complete autonomy over the direction that CY Partners takes. Although we’re not afraid to try new things, we hope to just keep growing our team and the excellent service that we provide.”

“Currently 99% of our clients are based in the UK, and so it would be amazing if in the next ten years we could make CY Partners an international brand.”
