CY partners have a unique and exciting opportunity for a senior scientist to work with a world leading global pharmaceutical company, based in Hertfordshire.
As a Cell Biologist, you will be working as part of a team, within the Cell & Gene Therapy Product Development Group. You will have the opportunity to work alongside individuals responsible for delivering the Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) aspects of the projects from early phase to launch and the development of innovative improvements to the design and manufacture of cell and gene therapy medicines.
As a Cell Biologist you will be involved with the Cell Line Development team. You will be working on developing processes for and delivering stably transfected mammalian cell lines for the manufacturing of clinical grade vectors for gene therapy.
Additional skills which would be desirable for this role include the following:
- Background in Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology, or a related life sciences discipline,
- Practical experience in the use of Cell- based assays and flow cytometry,
- Experience in cell line development, particularly mammalian cells lines would be an advantage,
- A willingness to learn, having a positive, enthusiastic attitude to working on your own initiative and as part of a team.

This role is offered on a 12-month contract basis.
