Would you like to play a leading role in setting up and managing the Quality system for a new lab?

CY Partners are working currently with a leading polymers and materials company, with a rich history stretching back over 100 years. Due to ongoing success and company expansion, they are looking to set up a new laboratory and new capabilities, at their global R&D and Manufacturing centre based in South London.

In line with this expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced Chemical Quality and Compliance Advisor to work in a diverse role that will include implementing ISO 17025, managing regulatory and compliance systems and will involve aspects of product development, investigation and testing of raw materials and finished products.

Responsibilities of the Chemical Quality and Compliance Advisor will include;

  • Implement an internal management system to ISO 17025 and achieve third-party certification
  • Manage, maintain and continually improve company management system and certification to ISO 17025, including internal auditing.
  • Ensure chemical compliance of current and new product, such as REACH, CLP, Poison Centre or similar products notifications
  • Advise on changes to global chemical legislations, and upcoming legislation
  • Lead short and long term projects; devising experiments, documenting and presenting findings relating to R&D Development, Product Optimisation, Testing Methodology.


To be considered for the role of Chemical Quality and Compliance Advisor, you will need the following background;

  • Solid experience and understanding of ISO 17025 (or ISO 9001 / ISO 14001), Chemical Compliance (CLP, REACH etc) or Good Laboratory Practise. (Preferably two or more of these).
  • Strong Chemistry knowledge, with a degree in physical or chemical sciences
  • Understanding of laboratory testing methodology, able to record, interpret and report analytical data.
  • Experience of implementing a quality management system or internal auditing would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of polymers, materials, coatings or paints would be an advantage.
