An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fermentation Scientist to join a global CDMO based in North East England. This innovative company produce biopharmaceuticals from microbial or mammalian cell cultures, and their products are used either in clinical trials or for commercial supply. Due to the company going through a period of exponential growth and rapid extension of their manufacturing abilities, they are looking to recruit a novel team of scientists to enable them to keep up with the demand of their clients.
As the Fermentation Scientist, you will join a brand new team and will support the technology transfer of their projects into their brand new state-of the art manufacturing facility.
You will ensure that the new GMP facility is ready to manufacture in line with agreed timelines and procedures.
This is a unique opportunity with a vast scope for development and progression. You’ll be involved with upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
To be successful you will have;
- A degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, microbiology or related area.
- Have good understanding and knowledge of upstream and downstream (protein purification) processes
- Understanding of working in a GMP environment
