Field Service Engineer

CY Partners are currently working for a highly reputable supplier of sophisticated chemical analytical instruments, providing assistance in installation, servicing and maintaining of the systems. They currently require a talented engineer with an electrical background to join the team as a Field Service Engineer, working with the company’s clients both on their sites and from the main office.
Responsibilities and Duties of the role include:
·Installing, maintaining service and technical support for the range of instruments.
·Liaising with the client, to plan the process prior to installation.
·Providing breakdown and maintenance support, including fault finding and diagnosis, either face to face or remotely.
·Frequent travel within the UK, Ireland and occasionally abroad, an essential part of the job.
·Working independently on your own initiative, troubleshooting under pressure, recording reports for customers in a timely and accurate fashion.
·Supporting the sales team alongside the above responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will hold:
·An outgoing attitude with good relationship building skills, creating trust with clients who will hold confidence in your work and advice.
·The ability to accept responsibility for an individual role and also become a team player in a combined effort.
·Capacity to fulfil the clients needs from complete installation and commissioning of the instruments to instructing user of its basic operation.
·Ability to diagnose, assess and actively resolve malfunctions of customers service problems.
·Good communication skills, written and verbal. Being computer literate, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems.
·Qualification (HNC/HND Level 4 or equivalent level) in electronic engineering or be able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge and skill gained in industry or academia.
·A current driving licence valid in the UK
·No visa or EU restriction preventing travel in USA or EU.
