A well-established contract development and manufacturing company are looking to hire a full-time GMP Production Scientist. This role is within the manufacturing team responsible for performing production activities to support the delivery of a range of cellular therapy products. The position features a competitive salary and is based at the company site near Edinburgh, Scotland.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Manufacturing cellular therapies and advanced therapy medical products (ATMPs) according to GMP within a controlled clean room environment
• Completion of quality related documentation including batch production records, change controls, incidents/deviations and risk assessments in accordance with GMP and SOPs
• Support with daily manufacturing housekeeping activities, including but not limited to cleaning, stock control and ordering materials
• Preparation and maintenance of SOPs
• Preparation of formal documentation for new projects to enable developments to be introduced in a suitably control manner
• Ensure confidentiality of all information relating to clients and patients is maintained at all times
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
• Plan and undertake the validation of new manufacturing processes and equipment
• Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
• Providing out of hours cover for critical equipment alarms as required on a rotational basis

Experience & Requirements
• Degree (or equivalent training or experience) in life sciences or similar discipline
• Knowledge and experience working with stem cells, cellular therapies or cell banking
• A working knowledge of UK laws and regulations for cell therapy products and tissue donation
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
• Practical experience working within diverse, multi-functional project teams
• Capable of working on multiple, complex projects simultaneously
• Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision
