We have a fantastic opening for an HSE Advisor to join a world-class global Chemicals company. The role will report to the Site Manager and involves ensuring all HSE requirements are implemented across all work areas.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure all HSE processes are being adhered to (audits/assess) in accordance to Company standards and all relevant UK legislated standards for Health, Safety and Environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the HSE Strategic Plan for the site
  • Lead and support Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments and site facility inspections to ensure equipment/facilities are installed correctly and safely
  • Conduct Incident Investigations – including any major incidents
  • Participate in Global HSE networks to develop internal safety policies, strategies and communications
  • Lead HSE meetings, presentations and training
  • Liaise and consult with relevant authorities and outside stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with current UK HSE legislation

Ideal Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Proven experience in an industry related Health & Safety role
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of UK Health and Safety at Work (Act 1974 HSWA) and other relevant legislation
  • Strong leadership, planning skills and ability to successfully prioritise
  • Experience in delivery of Safety Training
