CY Partners is working currently with a well-funded clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of T cell therapies and personalised vaccines to treat cancer. Making good use of their significant funding, they are using their ground-breaking and novel immune-oncology approach to rapidly advance life changing therapies into the clinic.


Due to a continued growth and expansion, they are looking to establish a state-of-the-art laboratory to process samples from clinical trial patients to explore and characterise their products and intermediates in-depth. The role of Laboratory Manager – GCLP / Translational Science will be to set up the new Translational lab according to GCLP, manage change control, qualification and validation (Q&V) of new facilities and equipment, transfer of existing processes as well as implementation of new processes.


Once the laboratory function is established, the Laboratory Manager – GCLP / Translational Science will build and oversee a laboratory-based team to undertake the receipt, processing and banking of human samples from clinical trials.


The Laboratory Manager – GCLP / Translational Science will prepare documentation, including Change Controls and Q&V documents, according to GCLP and QMS guidelines, supporting the maintenance of the GCLP system across manufacturing and laboratory sites.



To be considered for the Laboratory Manager – GCLP / Translational Science role you’ll need the following skills and experience;

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant subject such as Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Pharmacology etc.
  • Significant hands-on laboratory experience of processing clinical trials samples using including techniques such as immunoassays/immunological assays and flow cytometry.
  • Experience working in a GCLP accredited laboratory or according to GCLP guidelines, including preparing change control and equipment qualification and validation documentation.
  • Experience supervising or overseeing laboratory staff
  • Experience with human cell sample banking and maintaining accurate sample storage records.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
