Microbiologist – Shift

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Microbiologist to join a global pharmaceutical and manufacturing organisation at their site in Maidenhead. It is a shift position, with a mix of early and late day shifts, offered on an initial 6-month contract.

The microbiologist will be part of a team responsible for microbial analysis of the process and materials associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing. The position involves microbial analysis of raw materials, components, intermediates and final products as well as environmental monitoring of the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, culture, speciation and enumeration of microorganisms, and will also support the regulatory area, QA audits and inspections (MCA/FDA).

Ideally the successful candidate will be a graduate (or equivalent) in microbiology or related discipline, with experience in isolation and speciation techniques, and good aseptic techniques are required. Working GLP knowledge and an understanding of pathogenicity and ecology of microorganisms would be useful, and experience working in a GMP environment is beneficial.

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply with your CV. Feel free to contact Tom Kirkpatrick at CY Partners for more information.
