My client is a leading pharmaceutical analytical organisation in Kent, with a friendly and high performing analytical team. As a result of the work environment and training given, they have a low staff turnover, however, an additional opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Control Team Leader

Working as the Quality Control Team Leader you will perform analytical work for method transfers, carry out training of Quality Control staff where necessary, report results, as well as take as a supervisory role establishing and maintaining Laboratory Support KPIs and ensuring the testing is scheduled appropriately.

The Quality Control Team Leader will ensure the design and implementation of qualification/validation studies for equipment/systems/processes and subsequent reporting. As well as ensure laboratory equipment is suitably qualified, calibrated and maintained.

In this role you will work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure ongoing product quality and adherence to FDA/MHRA guidelines and the internal Quality Management System. You will be expected to liaise with production and process staff in response to any OOS results.

To be considered for the Quality Control Team Leader position you’ll need the following skills and experience;

• A BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or similar, or have equivalent experience.
• Have detailed knowledge of Chemical analytical techniques applied to pharmaceutical testing within stability QC.
• Experience in working on the bench both in manual and highly instrumented environments i.e HPLC and FTIR
• Experience in supervision and managing people
• Knowledge of regulations and policies from the MHRA & FDA and their application under GMP/GLP.
