Due to continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity available for a Quality Control Technician in Haverhill, near to Cambridge. As a Quality Control Technician, you will support the department to carry out laboratory based QC checks on biological molecules. You will be responsible for the preparation of analytical equipment (MALDI-TOF, ESI LC/MS, HPLC) and reagents to perform quality control analysis. The Quality Control Technician will interpret and analyse analytical data, providing feedback to internal customers regarding failures for troubleshooting and prevention. You will analyse returned products, providing QC information on customer complaints, lead investigations, identifying root causes and suggest appropriate preventative actions.
This is a shift-based position working Monday – Friday from 11pm -7am.
To be considered for the Quality Control Technician position you’ll need the following skills and experience;
- Educated to degree level within a Science discipline such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry or biomedical science
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment is an advantage, ideally within a highly regulated industry such as GMP, ISO, UKAS or similar quality system.
- Good problem-solving, communication, attention to detail and organisation skills
