Regulatory Affairs Officer

An exciting opportunity for a regulatory affairs officer has become available with a leading speciality chemicals company. Based in the Surrey, this role offers a great insight into regulatory affairs, and is offering a fantastic opportunity for you to utilise your scientific background in the field of regulatory affairs.

Some key aspects of the role will include:

  • Understand and determine regulatory requirements in each relevant country.
  • Develop and document any new processes.
  • Maintain company databases and compliance related IT tools
  • Respond to requests from global or regional project teams to provide critical input into regulatory/registration needs for product launch.
  • Continuously evaluating the regulatory climate of the assigned countries identifies potential issues which may arise, work to favorably impact the outcome of emerging or existing issues.
  • Localise regulatory documents to fit specifications of the local country (e.g. SDS etc.) and ensure required regulatory documents is sent to the appropriate poison centre, local authority or distributor
  • Update Regulation’s Product Information Datasheets on website
  • Provide/approve text for label artwork on translated regulatory label text, claims and Usage Instructions
  • Review and approve final artwork graphic

Ideally candidates will come from a background in chemistry, biology or related life sciences, you will be comfortable working with clients across the globe, with the ability to extract and delver key information relating to regulatory affairs within the chemicals, surfactant, cosmetics and related industries. If you are a member of TOPRA, or related industry body, and have an interest in REACH, this would be highly desirable.
