CY Partners have an exciting new opportunity at a Global Pharmaceutical Company, based in Hertfordshire. Your role will be to support drug discovery by aiding the design and generation of biological reagents. You will be joining the company as a Senior Scientist in a well established team, looking to expand.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and generation of DNA Constructs
• Isolation, Purification and Scale-Up of Plasmid DNA
• Analysis of DNA sequencing date
• Supply DNA constructs across the team
• Record data accurately
• Working well independently and as part of a Multidisciplinary Matrix team

Key Skills

• BSc/MSc in Life Sciences, with 1-2 years laboratory experience minimum (Industry or PhD)
• Knowledge and experience with molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, Primer design, general cloning techniques, PCR, DNA purification, gel electrophoresis
• Experience with modern molecular biology software tools (e.g. SNAPGENE)
• Attention to detail
• Good Written and Verbal communication skills
• Experience with record keeping and data reports
