CY Partners Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing life sciences organisation that is looking to hire a Senior R&D Scientist at their laboratories in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Main Purpose:

As a R&D Scientist you will be responsible for leading projects through R&D which consists of identifying cell lines to be developed into standardised controls for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridisation.

You will be work with colleagues across R&D, performing investigational work into existing products and the potential of novel targets and technology.

Skills and experience

The client is looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, the ability to lead R&D projects and the transfer of projects into production.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge/experience in the following areas:

• Experience in assay optimization, experimental design, versatile laboratory practice, data analysis, and data and concept.

• Skilled in both tissue culturing and histology.

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) within a relevant Biomedical/Biological science. Further degree (PhD or MSc) would be advantageous, but isn’t a necessity.
